Unabashedly, Our Favorite As you look through the bicycle section of our catalog, you'll likely notice certain similarities between many of the bikes. The majority are black, and we think that works pretty well. You might also notice that almost every bike comes with a Brooks Model B-67, and there's a reason for that. The B-67 isn't the lightest saddle -- or even the lightest Brooks -- so it won't go on your racy little carbon fiber weekend bike. You probably wouldn't put it on your mountain bike either. But...if you want a comfortable saddle for practical riding, we don't think you could do much better than the B-67. It's comfortable out of the box, and only gets more so. The coil-sprung frame takes all the shock and most of the bumps out of the road, while the 210mm wide, totally flat deck -- the rearward part of the saddle, where you actually sit with the parts of you that are designed to be sat upon -- is supple enough that you won't need that chamois, but firm enough that you don't sink in and chafe. The B-67 tapers quickly toward the front so that nice wide deck won't interfere with your legs, and the slim nose keeps you centered while letting your thighs be where they need to be. This saddle is the best for upright riding, and fits pretty much everyone (and every fitness level).
