About

David Schmidt woke up one night with an idea. That idea took him to Holland and a few other places. That idea lead to a container of bikes being filled before even a shop space was secured in Seattle. That lead to many more wired, inspired and sleepless nights. Soon he's buying more containers of bicycles built in Holland and selling and buying and selling...

Stephan Schier saw that his pal Dave was having a lot of fun. Stephan started hanging out at the shop, chatting up cute customers, promoting the virtues of riding a Dutch bike. He thought he was just helping and having a beer or two at Dave's expense, but somewhere along the way he contracted Dave's passion. Now Stephan is in Chicago and the story continues...

We've been selling and shipping Dutch city bikes, Bakfiets cargo bikes and WorkCycles throughout the USA for over two years. We are the commuter and utility bicycle experts.

Our passion for Dutch bikes and love of the everyday cycling lifestyle has gained us recognition in the NY Times, Seattle Times, the Seattle Post Intelligencer, GQ Magazine and Seattle Magazine, as well kept us number one in the "Dutch bike" seach rankings.

Our intent to sell quality products and take care of our customers has gained us a loyal following online and in our local communities as a neighborhood bike shop which services all bicycles, from beloved 30 year-old Schwinns to full-suspension mountain bikes and everything in-between.
